According to Peter, I have a new love in my life and "her" name is Ercolina. And before you start saying "Wow, Andy's managed to pick up a girl finally after almost two years!", Ercolina is actually a piece of gym equipment. Damn... Anywho, its a machine where one of the many exercises performable is a low low pulley arm-curl, excellent for building up the lower arms.
It was my group's turn to give our presentation on the pharmaceutical industry today. Why we volunteered to go first, I have no idea, but it seems to have paid off since our performance seemed a lot more original this way. It also helps that the lecturer seems to like us more than other members of the module. I still have to prepare another presentation for the very last day of term at 4pm; it sucks to be me sometimes. While we're on the topic of academia, today was my last lecture with Peter Midmoore for economics. And I managed to end the session in style by winning another bar of chocolate in the quiz, woo! That's 4/6 bars I've won so far since he started the scheme. Tomorrow, I'll be faced with one, Nick Perdikis, who like most lecturers thinks he's funnier than he actually is.
After over five months of waiting, the Beck OST has finally been released. It comes on two different volumes, one titled "Beck" and the other "Keith". "Beck" features all of the tracks as heard in the anime and "Keith" features the most used songs as performed by the actual artists who are credited with the work. Calling it a soundtrack would be a serious understatement; sounding very much like a real garage rock band, its certainly refreshing to hear music as raw as this. The genuine CDs will have to be bought I think soon.
As mentioned previously, I've begun to watch a series called Saikano. By Gonzo, its about a highschool couple who are thrown into the middle of a war when the guy, Shuji, discovers his girlfriend is actually a weapon of destruction. Each time she fights, she seems to lose a small part of her humanity such as control of her emotions, or memories. Quite angsty stuff, its not like anything I've ever seen from Gonzo before and I applaud them for trying something as risky as this.
Right, Andy over and out.
