Where, oh where did my weekend go? Actually, I know exactly where it went: coursework and the gym. With deadlines looming closer, I decided to make a concerned effort on Saturday to get my statistical maths assignment over and done with. Not having done any serious maths since GCSE, it proved fairly tricky at first but once I'd gone over the formal methods a few times, it was easy enough to get my head around.
Mike popped over on Saturday and stayed for dinner. As well as this, we also received a royal ass whooping on Naruto - Narutimet Hero 2. I managed to win one round at least with Rock Lee. A bit more Tekken 5 was played; I'm now ranked as a first dan on arcade mode and I've unlocked Asuka's school girl and what I can only guess is a geisha-girl costume.
Sunday, a bit of time at the gym working on the arms before working on my second presentation for marketing skills. Sadly, I feel like I'm the one carrying the team once again, just like with my "introduction to computing module".
Sunday also marked the day where I'd finally watched my 200th anime series. It was around this time last year that I'd seen my 100th series, though I expect this rate to slow down by next year since I've sadly seen almost everything that I'd ever want to see that's readily available. Anyway, show no. 200 was Saikano as mentioned in an earlier blog entry. While pretty to look at, it was horribly flawed; very little was explained such as why they were fighting in the war, or why Chise had become what she'd become. There are two supplementary OAV episodes coming out this Easter and summer which may or may not fill in the gaps; we'll have to wait and see.
Latest episodes of BECK, Yakitate Japan, AIR, Gundam SEED - Destiny, and Jinki Extend were also savoured this weekend when I had a few breather moments. With the latter, its finally starting to make some sense after 8 episodes of none. And Aoba's grown up and filled out quite nicely, hehehe...
Signing out.
