I'm currently procrastinating from my human resource management essay to bring you another update!
Last night, Peter, Mike, and myself attended the monthly union general meeting. It was an interesting meeting since it proved fairly productive, but the topic of Nestlé came up yet again. I've attened two out of three meetings this semester already and it's appeared in every single one so far. We weren't the only ones getting frustrated by such a trivial matter. Other topics of order that came up: changing title of disabilities officer to special access officer (or some shit like that), campus lighting, something about student housing or another, and other stuff which I have since forgotten. Afterwards, Peter, Mike, Garreth, and myself got our free pints and proceeded to talk about Matt Hale (the tree hugging hippy) whilst he was stood right behind us. Ooops....
Later that evening, Mike and I made our way down town and decided to have dinner at Subway. I went for the Veggie Patty (or "Max" as it used to be called) whereas Mike decided to go all out and have the Italian BMT which he really enjoyed. We dicussed matters about what movies to show in several of of the society's free slots and got a few down. Needing more reference material, we headed back to mine and Studio Ghibli's "Whisper of the Heart" sounded like it'd go well with the theme of being light and easy going for the exam period. I decided to show him the first two episodes of 2x2 Shinobuden which he loved. It's about a terrible female ninja named Shinobu and her many mis-adventures involving her friend, Kaede, her perverted master, Onsokomaru (who's a floating yellow ball with facial features), and the Sasuke gindan tachi (ninja army). It's bloody hilarious especially if you've seen Naruto; the voice actress for Shinobu also plays Hinata in Naruto as a matter of fact.
I forgot to mention that Mike and I went house hunting the other day. We've pretty much set our heart on the marina flats called "y lanfa". Out of the various flats we'd tried, only one guy was willing to let us have a look around and what a place it was. Another girl who answered the intercom had totally lost it and had no idea what was going on so we left it at that. We seem to have first refusal on number 28 and have roped Ste from the society into moving in with us. Should make for entertaining times.
