Whilst visiting my usual list of blogs, I came across Danny Choo's latest entry (link in my bookmarks). He was interviewed recently for a magazine called "Windows 100%", which is apparently some sort of underground otaku publication. Anyway, he was asked, "What is your favorite proverb, maxim, or a phrase?", and his response was, "Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one."
For those of you who aren't sure where the quote is from, shame on you. It is of course from Back to the Future - Part 3; Jennifer asks Doc Brown why the fax with "YOU'RE FIRED" printed on it had disappered. Doc Brown explains that because Marty didn't have the car accident, their future had no longer been written. I've always had a soft spot for the Back to the Future franchise and that particular message is truly inspirational for me. So, I decided to watch all three movies last night after getting in from the cinema to see Hostel.
Lately, I've been wondering about my future and where my life is heading. At the beginning of 2006, I thought I had everything figured out but since then, life has thrown me a couple of curve balls (good ones though). My friend, Mike, in London today informed me that his company were looking for handful of placement candidates, both summer and one year. I'm currently reworking my CV to try and get on to the summer programme since it would really help kick-start looking for a job once university's all over. If all goes well, I may be a Londoner from mid-June to mid-September. Watch this space.
