I received the feedback for the marketing presentation I gave on Wednesday and the results are very pleasing. Scoring 78%, or 19.5% of the entire module, I'm almost half-way there to passing already! I still have another presentation to give one week today, as well as two essays for after Easter, I'm expecting good things from all this. Wish me luck.
After the antics of AnimeSoc last night, myself, Tammy, Peter, and Adam (the uber Welsh guy) decided to head to the Light of Asia for our evening meal. Now normally, we would have eaten in Wetherspoons but sadly, some old fella decided to pass away there just earlier that afternoon. Apparently, he'd died in the toilet after consuming one of Wetherspoon's burgers... I was very impressed by the Light of Asia; good value for money and decent food as well as free poppadoms and wine! My madras could have been spicier but considering my stomach's doing cartwheels this morning, its probably a blessing in disguise.
Saw the latest episode of Mahou Sensei Negima last night in a slightly drunken state, though I think I picked up on almost everything. Once again, we've been presented with another new version of the opening theme, "Happy Material Go". Performed by another selection of the female cast, I'm not as keen on this rendition as I was with the first two. The animation quality in this episode has really shot up; nice crisp lines, fluid motion, and nobody's face changed shape throughout. Episode content could have been better, featuring mainly on the two identical twins in Negi's class. Ah well, can't have 'em all. Static Subs have finally released 19 - 21 of Mai-HiME after an extended quiet period due to internal problems. I've been told there are some serious "shit hits the fan" moments in these episodes so I'm really looking forward to what's instore for me later this evening.
Nintendo finally saw fit to release their second trailer for the latest Legend of Zelda game for the GameCube yesterday. Starting where the last trailer left off, we see a few locales such as Link swimming and diving in water, fighting dragons, spiders, riding wild boars, saving kittens (?!), as well as a wolf howling on a mountain top. They still yet to announce the gimmick of this installment of the franchise, but I'm putting my money on something to do with the animal kingdom. Perhaps Link will be able to transform into certain animals, or simply befriend them like Leon does in Resident Evil 4. Fated to be one of the last games on the 'Cube, I can't think of a better way to see off a cracking piece of hardware. Swords will bleed, indeed... Useless fact of the day: "Nintendo" in Cantonese actually means "bird rising to the sky".
