This evening, I was finally able to rent out "Saw" from the video rental after missing the chance to catch it at the university art centre. As a horror movie, it definitely worked and many a shiver was sent down my spine. Unfortunately as with most horror movies, a number holes appeared in the plot leading to a number of unanswered questions. Luckily for us, the sequel will apparently fill in all the gaps once it hits cinemas later this year.
Devil May Cry 3 has been gracing my PS2 today, and what a game it is. Oddly, its a cinematic game based on scoring high points with style; these days, most games are either one or the other. I'm currently playing with the Gunslinger mode, though I may give Swordmaster a go later on. For some reason, the Japanese version of the game features an option to change the in-game language to either English or Korean, as well as the default Japanese. Now why can't all devcos be as considerate as Capcom? I think its safe to say that the lads from Osaka have done it again; with two smash hit titles in 2005 already, this will be a good year for them.
Hit the gym with Peter earlier. While less cardio-vascular work was done, this was supplemented with more strength training. We're going to start our new treadmill regime as of tomorrow, with positive results we hope.
Currently listening to Yoko Ishida's latest album, "Sweets". She's sung a number of themes for various anime out there (Ai Yori Aoshi, Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai, Pretear etc) and doesn't look set to stop anytime soon. A very sweet (forgive the pun) sounding assortment of tracks, its not something I'd wish to be caught listening to in public. A little closer to my style, I also have See-Saw's last album before they split up. Featuring such themes as those from the .hack series and Gundam SEED, its a very mellow, almost melancholic album; not bad for winding down to.
