At the time of writing, one Mr Leon S. Kennedy has rescued the President Graham's daughter, Ashley, and has disposed of the Los Illuminados threat. Woo! Now that was a high-octane adventure unlike any Resi game before it. Completed in just under 18.5 hours, its as long as Code Veronica and nowhere near as much of a chore to play. The last few hours felt like something right out of a war movie, another big point of inspiration for the boys at Capcom. As a big fan of the Resi story, I was greatly disappointed I'm sad to say. Very few memo's and journals were left around leaving you to your own devices in regards to most of what actually happened behind the scenes. This is of course more welcoming to newcomers to the series, though it does feel as if the narrative has been slightly watered down in this respect. They have at least left the window open for a sequel though, so there may be more Resi games in the future.
Today was the first day of the new semester, and what was supposed to be my most awkward day on the timetable. I was relieved to find that my MM10510 lectures don't properly commence until the 14th of February since the lecturer is still in Australia. Also, none of my practicals or tutorials begin until next week, or the week after for one or two.
Anime wise, I accidentally found another new series showcasing two of the three Ms, mecha and mammaries. I'm remaining confident that the third M, maids, will appear sooner or later. And what is this show I hear you ask? Well, its called Jinki Extend and it features some of the most stunning animation I've seen this season (on par with AIR); you've gotta love HDTV sources.
Today was also the release of Feeder's latest album, Pushing the Senses. Featuring a more prominent laid-back sound than any of their other works, its been designated as my chillout album. WHSmiths had the regular edition as well as the special edition with bonus DVD, both for £9.99. I think its easy to assume I bought the latter.
Enough from me, I just need to watch the second episode of Starship Operators and then I'm all up to date on weekly releases. Toodleoo.
