This blog is now officially closed for good.
But the good news is I have a new one which can be found over at www.andyyu.co.uk!

Dreams
Lately I've been having strange dreams, dreams where I've been able to see my own death. In each dream, I end up saving a loved one (friends and family) from a fatal accident and instead, I take their place on the death bed. They've all felt so realistic and yet I'm not shaken. I've always had feelings that I could change the world or at least the world of those around me. Here's to being a have-a-go-hero...

Personality test 2007
What has become somewhat of a tradition over the last two years is that I take this here personality test after each academic year. And here are the results for this year:
Take Free Advanced Global Personality Test
personality tests by similarminds.com
Trait snapshot:
self revealing, neat, craves attention, prefers organized to unpredictable, needs things to be extremely clean, worrying, perfectionist, emotionally sensitive, respects authority, social, vain, does not like to be alone, likes large parties, controlling, social chameleon, not a thrill seeker, enjoys leadership, takes precautions, puts the needs of others ahead of their own, assertive, rule conscious, makes friends easily, always busy, heart over mind, phobic, aggressive, clingy, compassionate, dominant, outgoing, suspicious, hard working, strong
If you take a quick peak over at last year's results, you'll notice the changes aren't too significant but the largest change has been a whopping 20% change in a need to dominate. Now, this could be because I was always the group leader on various projects this year, or maybe I was the sole person responsible for the flat's utilities etc. We'll never know.
I am apparently less stable compared to last year; taking various things into account this year, I suppose this is an accurate reflection upon myself. I'm still a neat freak which is good, can't let personal standards drop. I'm even more extraverted than last year which is true considering how many people I've met in the last few months. Regarding the trait snapshots, I only disagree with their conclusion that I'm not a thrill seeker; I will try most things once and am addicted to my own adrenaline! Everything else fits me like a glove don't you think?

Stability results were moderately low which suggests you are worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.
Orderliness results were high which suggests you are overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense too often of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.
Extraversion results were high which suggests you are overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense too often of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

Easter = boredom
Hello folks and welcome to yet another exhilerating edition of The Mind of Yu. Well actually, it's not that exciting because as you have probably guessed from the title of this entry, I'm going out of my mind. I'm in the middle of my Easter break and I've done nothing much apart from workout at home. In many ways, I wish I was back in Aber right now but that'll have to wait until next week.
So, university's coming to an end soon. I worked out I have 10 days of formal teaching (even less considering I don't have lectures on Thursdays or Fridays!), 4 pieces of coursework, and 2 exams left (May 16th and 17th!). I will be attending this year's May Ball because it looks awesome and all of my nearest and dearest will also be in attendance.
I am also going to plug Facebook and how everybody needs to sign up to it. It's awesome fun especially when loads of people you know are on there.

Transition
This weekend has so far been a nice excursion from the normal daily mundane student life I've been living for the last few weeks. I've done some major shopping which includes a new pair of Levi's 501s, four new t-shirts, a new pair of glasses, and some contact lenses. It was nice to spend some money on myself for once since I've been a bit of a frugal hobo for a while.
I met up with my good friend Abdul yesterday and we were both at similar stages in our lives. Both due to graduate very soon and both stuck in a phase of transition, neither here nor there. We don't see each other often but I think that's the mark of a good friendship where you can just fall back into old habits and routine with people.
